| Jenny as a Word Processing Operator
One day at work, Jenny had to move a very large document from one computer to another.
Unfortunately, one of the computers was not connected to the network. A
quick call to tech support resulted in an office clerk dropping off a floppy at Jenny's
desk.
Jenny's first attempt at transfering the file to the floppy failed. The document was too
large to fit on the diskette.
The lady at the next desk noticed that Jenny was having problems and came over to see what
was wrong. Upon hearing the story, she suggested that Jenny make the
document smaller by reducing the font size.

Many of you may have already heard a variant of this story. Well, subscriber Dale M, of
Winnipeg, actually watched in amazement as this happened at work. He did not even bother
trying to explain why this technique won't work. Dale was one of our winners in the $ for
stories contest we ran recently.
