Jenny and the Bad Cheque

Jenny's friend Barb had finally finished her last Christmas card and moved wearily on to some bills that were almost overdue. She filled in cheques to the gas company, the phone company, and a department store. She then licked what seemed to be a thousand stamps and headed out the door to mail them all. "Finally, the Christmas cards are done. Now I can relax." She plopped down on the couch for a well deserved rest.

Unknown to Barb, she was more tired than she knew. A few days later the gas company phoned and said she would have to replace her cheque as soon as possible, or she would be considered overdue. When Barb walked up to the counter at their office several hours later, she took one look at the cheque and started laughing.

It was signed, "love Tim, Barb, and Justin."
