Jenny and the Cake Recipe

Jenny's friend Sarah had grown up in a family that did not bake. That was obvious, based on the questions Sarah was asking Jenny. Sarah wanted to baked her boyfriend a birthday cake, so Jenny gave her one of Jenny's favourite recipes, along with some tips.

Some days later Jenny stopped by and asked how the birthday party had gone. Sarah said it was great, but the cake was only so-so.

"Oh, what happened?", Jenny asked, "That is one of my best recipes."

"I think it was a problem with the soda", Sarah replied. "Your recipe said 1/2 tsp. soda, but did not say what type, so I used Seven-Up. Maybe it should have been Pepsi."
